Terms and Condition
The Contest
The Name Your Potato! Contest is organized by URC Snack Foods (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. and is open to all Malaysian and permanent residents with a valid NRIC.
The following group of persons shall not be eligible to participate in the contest :
- Employees of URC Snack Foods (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. including its affiliated and related companies and their immediate family members (children, parents, brothers and sisters, including spouses; and/or
- Representatives, employees, servants and/or agents of advertising and/or promotion service providers of URC Snack Foods (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. including its affiliated and related companies, and their immediate family members (children, parents, brothers and sisters including spouses).
The Contest will run from 23 May 2011 to 3 July 2011 (“Contest Period”). URC Snack Foods (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. reserves the right to amend the Contest Period at any time without prior notice. All entries received outside the Contest Period shall automatically be disqualified.
Contest period will be divided into 4 weeks, with 1 Grand Prize winner and 3 Consolation Prize winners per week.
Week 1 Contest : 23 – 31 May
Week 2 Contest : 1 – 8 June
Week 3 Contest : 9 – 15 June
Week 4 Contest : 16 June – 3 July
Participant must be a member of www.facebook.com ("Website"). Registration is via the Website. Please refer to the Website’s privacy policy and the terms and conditions on the Website, which will bind the users of the Website.
To participate in this contest, members of the Website must: 1) allow access to the Name Your Potato! Contest application. 2) “LIKE” the Jack ‘n Jill’s Potato Heads Facebook Fan Page.
Participants are required to create a potato character by filling in a form to provide the potato's name, description and personality.
Participants will be required to use the doodle tools provided to sketch out their potato.
To complete the submission, participants are required to fill in a short registration form whereby they will need to provide their Name, IC No and Mobile No.
Upon completion, participants will be able to preview their entry before submitting. Participants can also choose to go back to the previous steps to make changes to their entry.
Upon submission, the entry will be displayed in our gallery.
Submitted entries shall also become properties of URC (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. URC reserves the right to use any/all submitted entries for any promotional materials.
Each participant is entitled to multiple entries.
Any incomplete or incorrect entries will be automatically disqualified.
Entries
Judging of each weeks entries will be done by URC Snack Foods (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.
URC Snack Foods (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. reserves the right to reject any entry at its sole and absolute discretion without having to assign any reasons whatsoever.
The Judge's decision is final and binding. No correspondence shall be entertained.
URC Snack Foods (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. reserves the right to request written proof of IC no and age of any Contest winner before the prize is dispatched or collected. URC Snack Foods (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. reserves the right to forfeit prizes for any Contest winner who does not provide the required details upon receiving the request/notification from URC Snack Foods (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.
Winner Announcement
Contest winners will be announced on the Jack ‘n Jill’s Potato Heads Facebook Fan Page.
URC Snack Foods (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. will create a short Potato Head Series video based on the Grand Prize winners entries.
URC Snack Foods (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. reserves the right to use any other method or medium that it deems fit at its sole and absolute discretion for the purpose of announcing the Contest winners.
URC Snack Foods (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. reserves the right to appoint a third party to conduct the verification of Contest winners and to fulfill the delivery of prizes and Contestants agree that URC Snack Foods (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. may provide all necessary information of Contest winners to such third party to facilitate such service.
Prize
Prizes not claimed within one month upon correspondence to winner from URC Snack Foods (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. shall be forfeited.
Prizes are not exchangeable, transferable or redeemable in any other form for whatever reason.
URC Snack Foods (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. reserves the right at its absolute discretion to substitute any of the prizes with that of similar value, at any time without prior notice. The values of the prizes are correct at the time of printing. All prizes are given on an “as is” basis.
Contest winners are solely responsible for the collection of their prize, URC Snack Foods (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. and representatives shall have no liability to the Contest winners in any respect whatsoever.
Rights of URC Snack Foods (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.
URC will not be responsible or liable for:
| a. | Any problem, loss or damage of whatsoever nature suffered by any party due to any delay and/or failure in storing the photo entry as a result of any network, communication or system error, interruption and/or failure experience by the participating internet line and/or resulting from participation or the downloading of any materials in the Contest. In the event of such error, interruption and/or failure, URC shall not be responsible or liable for any failure by any contestant to participant in the Contest at any time. | |
| b. | Any problem, damage or loss of whatsoever nature to any contestant, or their authorized representatives resulting from their participation in the Contest. | |
| c. | Any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, internet line failure, theft, destruction of, or unauthorized access to entries, arising during operation or transmission as a result of server functions, virus, bugs or other causes outside its control. | |
Participants also agree that URC shall not be responsible nor liable for any delay, injury or damage to the participant’s and/or any third party's computer, computer system or apparatus relating to or resulting from the access to, participation in this Contest, including the playing, downloading of any materials or information from the Website and in connection with this Contest, submission for this Contest, including without limitation any server failure, lost, delayed or corrupted data or other malfunction.
URC reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that it determines to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest, to be acting in breach or potential breach of these Contest Terms and Conditions.
URC reserves the right to cancel, modify, suspend or delay the Contest in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
By participating in this Application, participants agree to be bound by this Applications Rules & Regulations, and the decisions of URC.
URC reserves the right to change, amend, delete or add to these Terms and Conditions without prior notice at any time and the Contestants shall be bound to such changes.
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook.
By entering this Contest, you shall completely indemnify Facebook.
You are providing your information to URC and not to Facebook. The information you provide will solely be used for and by URC and will not be sold, transferred, given or shared with any third party not in any relation to this Contest.
